Atlas Heavy Transport (AHT) was contracted for the turnkey operation of a recovery tower. The cargo was loaded to barge at Houston, towed to Freeport, TX and rolled off, ready for the final 40 miles over the road transport to the site location Due to tight turns along the final route, AHT utilized the LEICA MS 60 Scanner to ensure the turns could be safely made.

A detailed plan was made to cover every aspect of the transport. Close coordination with bucket truck, utility company, escorts, state authorities made it possible to seamlessly transport the recovery column safely to the client’s facility.

On site work included Gantry lift, staging and multiple site maneuvers that required precise calculation and selection of structural components. With our in-house Structural Analysis and FEA capabilities, our experienced team of engineers and operations team ensured this complex transport was executed seamlessly.
